Wilma Adderley passed away on January 19, 2001 at the age of 84 years. Wilma Norrene Adderley was born January 20, 1916 to Marion and Evah Fielder, the 6th of 7 children. She spent the majority of her life in the Spalding district. After attending both Sunnyview and Spalding schools, she lived and worked in Montana for several years, where she also helped to care for her elderly grandparents. She returned to Spalding and married Clarrence Adderley in 1940. They continued to live in the Spalding district where they farmed and raised their four children Patsy, [...] until 1978 when Clarence passed away. Wilma loved her family, friends, and her community. She was a devoted member of the Naicam Kingdon Hall Congregation and a strong and loyal worker in her town for many years. She gave countless hours of service to the Hospital Auxiliary, 4-H club and History Book Committees to name but a few, as well as being one of the first to help her neighbours, friends and family in any time of stress or crisis. Her children and grandchildren all benefited and learned from her loving care first hand. Throughout her life she had a deep love of nature and many an evening would find her watching a sunset, an electrical storm or just going for a walk up the north road. She spent her last years in the Pineview Lodge in Nipawin from where she passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 19, 2001. Her family are very grateful for the tender care she received from the staff at the Lodge. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Clarence, her daughter Patsy, her sisters Charlotte (Glover) King, Faith (Leader) Strome; her brothers: Robert, Marion Earl and Garnet and her grandson Robin Fuller. She is survived by her sister Ione Corney of Montana, her children [...]; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the Spalding Community Hall with Speaker Blaine Pack officiating. Interment was in the Naicam Cemetery. Pallbearers were [...]. Honorary pallbearers were all who knew and loved Wilma. Attending the Memorial guest book was [...]. Memorial tributes may be made to the Pineview Lodge. All arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home Ltd., Basil and Rosemarie Forsberg, Terry Zip, Mervin Yacyshyn and Kent Dutcyvich.
