Abraham Brillinger, lot 2, concession 4, was born in Whitchurch Township in 1820. His father, John Brillinger, was born in Pennsylvania in 1796 and died in 1874. Abraham was married in 1842 to Elizabeth Gower, a native of Pennsylvania, who died in 1847. His second marriage was in 1860 to Elizabeth Horner, a native of Markham Township, by whom he had two children, Fanny and Nancy. (vol. II, p. 450)
