Died:
- MAY 9, 1932-----------------KELSTERN MAN PASSES AWAY--------------------
William Henry Holtzman, of Kelstern, Saskatchewan, one of the old pioneers of the Kelstern district, passed away on the evening of the 9th on his farm at Kelstern. He was born in St. Jacobs, Ontario. December 12, 1858, giving him the ripe old age of 74 years, 4 months and 27 days. Mr. Holtzman leaves to mourn his widowed wife, two sons and one daughter, one daughter preceded him in death. There are left three brothers, one being minister of the Evangelical church at Jansen. Saskatchewan; and three sisters. Mr. Holtzman was active in the church life during his early days in the east, having come to the west 29 years ago, settling at Kelstern where his son is now caring for the farm. The cause of his death was apoplexy. Just before the evening meal he went to the pasture field to see the cattle and when he did not return a search was instituted and after several hours he was found dead in the field. Rev. E. N. Mohr, of Morse Evangelical church, officiated at the funeral service. He was buried in the Evert Mennonite Cemetery not far from Kelstern. Before coming to the west Mr. Holtzman lived in Mildmay, Ontario.------------Rev. E. N. Mohr, Morse, Saskatchewan
