Tore Olson was baptized in Nykirke church in Modum parish on the 20th Sunday after Trinity Sunday, which we calculate to be October 4, 1818. His parents were "husbondskar" (head servant of a farming household) Ola Toreson and wife Kari Kristoffersdotter. Tore was born on Sept. 23, 1818 on the farm Komperud, in Modum parish.
