The Wurm's of Chapman Township, Parry Sound, Ontario are descendent of Henry Wurm and Elizabeth Steinacker.

Henry was born in Germany about 1835 and emigrated to Canada in the early 1850's. Elizabeth was born in Germany on 11 Jan 1834 and also arrived in Canada in the early 1850's. The census of 1861 shows this couple residing in Berlin, Waterloo County, Ontario in a 1 1/2 storey frame house with the family of Mathias Wurm and Elizabeth Neeb.

Henry died before the age of 33, sometime between 1864 and 1868.

2. Maria "Elisabeth" Wurm was born on 9 Oct 1858 in Waterloo Township, Waterloo County, Ontario; died on 17 May 1936; was buried in Port Carmen Old Lutheran Cemetery, Magnetawan Township, Parry Sound, Ontario.
3. Julius C. Wurm was born on 10 Nov 1860 in Berlin, Waterloo Township, Waterloo County, Ontario; died in 1948; was buried in Chapman Community Cemetery, Chapman Township, Parry Sound District, Ontario.
4. John Henry Wurm was born on 21 Dec 1862 in Waterloo County, Ontario; was christened on 1 Feb 1863 in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Berlin, Ontario.
5. ?? Wurm was born on 4 Dec 1864 in Berlin, Waterloo Township, Waterloo County, Ontario.

Elizabeth married William Hoerner on 31 Dec 1868 in By Rev. Kaessrnann. William was born on 24 Jun 1834 in Baden, Germany; died on 18 Apr 1914 in Lot 25, Conc 6, Chapman Township, Parry Sound District, Ontario; was buried in Chapman Community Cemetery, Chapman Township, Parry Sound District, Ontario. The family of William and Elizabeth relocated to the area of Magnetawan in Chapman Township, Parry Sound, Ontario, likely about 1877, and farmed Lot 25, Conc 5, Chapman Township, Parry Sound, Ontario. A Hoerner family donated land for the Chapman Community Cemetery where many of William and Elizabeth's descendents are buried.

Eventually their son William took over the family farm and William and Elizabeth continued to live there in their latter years.

2. Catharina Margareta Magdelena Hoerner was born on 22 Oct 1872 in Berlin, Waterloo Township, Waterloo County, Ontario; died on 6 Dec 1960; was buried in Chapman Community Cemetery, Chapman Township, Parry Sound District, Ontario.
