    Zedekiah South was a Teamster during the Rev War, but he was also a shoe maker and harness maker and used those skills in service. Soon after the War he took his family to Glen, Montgomery county, NY where he resided until his death in 1835 (Pension # R-99440). He served under Col. Heyes & Capt John Piatt, Capt Artaky & Capt Debos. He was in the battles of Newton & Monmoutth.

    Zedekiah married Mary McCabe about 1782 in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Mary (daughter of James McCabe and Mary Hughs) was born on 11 Feb 1759 in New Jersey; died on 16 Mar 1829 in Glen, Montgomery County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
