Notes |
- The family resided in Berlin (now Kitchener), Ontario where Mathias was employed as a carpenter. They attended St. Peter's Lutheran Church. The census of 1861 shows this couple residing in Berlin, Ontario in a 1 1/2 storey frame house along with the family of Henry Wurm and Elizabeth Steinacker.
Mathias died on Sept 4, 1896. His wife predeceased him on May 12, 1880 following an illness of one week. Following the death of his wife, Mathias lived with his son, Conrad.
