'Reported Date of Departure' 'Age' 'To What Place Moving to'

| Passengers aboard the ship Victoria in 1868 The family of Ole Pederson and the family of Kristine Pedersdatter are listed as passengers aboard the Victoria.
They left the city of Christiania (the name for Oslo, Norway at that time) on April 29, 1868 on the bark "Victoria" and arrived in Quebec on July 16, 1868. The family of Ole Pederson and Karen Nilsdotter are entry #s 164, 165, 166, and 167. Their residence was listed as Kristiania(Oslo)/Sørum. The parish of Sørum is just north of Oslo, so it is understandable they named both areas.
Also note the four names above Ole Pederson. They are also from Kristiania/Sørum. Further investigation reveals that this family is the brother-in-law and sister of Ole Pederson.

Notes |
Born:
- A notation in "From Norway to North America: The Descendants in Canada and the United States of Olaf and Caroline Pederson" by Jean E. Peterson, 1981 indicates that the church burial record for Adolph Peterson lists his birth place. It indicates that the record is difficult to read but that the information appears to state that Adolph was born in Sorum, Norway.
