Mrs. Sarah Qualie, 99, of Maddock, formerly of Brinsmade. Funeral was held 9 May 1969 from the Wheeler Funeral Chapel. Interment was at Vang Lutheran Cemetery, Vang, North Dakota.
Mrs. Qualie died Tuesday, May 6, 1969 at Maddock Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient about one year. Casket bearers were Lawrence, Hans Peterson, Emil Olson, Alvin Peterson, Lester Peterson, and Alfred Peterson.
Sarah Peterson was born August 2, 1869, daughter of Olaf and Caroline Peterson, in Pembina. She grew to womanhood there, and gained what little formal schooling she had in this community. She lived near Vang and came to Brinsmade about 1915. She lived there until her residency at the Moeller Home, Maddock, in 1959. She was married to Joseph Wegley, and later to Bennie Qualie, about 1907, near Vang.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Ollie) Tschida, of St. Paul. She was preceded in death by a son Earl Joseph Wegley, six brothers, and three sisters.
