Zedekiah South was a Teamster during the Rev War, but he was also a shoe maker and harness maker and used those skills in service. Soon after the War he took his family to Glen, Montgomery county, NY where he resided until his death in 1835 (Pension # R-99440). He served under Col. Heyes & Capt John Piatt, Capt Artaky & Capt Debos. He was in the battles of Newton & Monmoutth.
