Mrs. Peterson Rites are Held
Funeral services were held November 6, 1971, for Mrs. Minnie Peterson at the Hanson Witt Funeral Chapel at Windom, Minn. Mrs. Peterson had been a resident of the Owatone (sic) Nursing Home for a short time before she passed away the evening of November 3. At the time of her death, she was 87. Dale Wordelman officiated at the services, and interment was in the Lakeview Cemetery. Mrs. Homer Basinger was the organist and Mrs. Russell Engelhorn was soloist. Musical selections were How Great Thou Art and What a Friend We Have in Jesus. Pall bearers were George Feil, Charles Willsher, Carl Jacobs, Robert Morgan, James Griffin, and William Schwartz.
Minnie Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rogstad, was born July 7, 1884 at Milton, North Dakota. On December 14, 1905, Minnie Rogstad and Pete O. Peterson were united in marriage at Morden, Man. They lived at Mona and Langdon until 1942, when they moved to Windom, Minn. Mr. Peterson was employed as a carpenter while living in Windom, and it was there that (he) passed away on December 30, 1949. Since 1962, Mrs. Peterson has made her home with her 4 daughters.
Surviving Mrs. Peterson are four daughters, Mrs. Andrew Remington of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs. Lawrence Smith of Owatonna, Minn., Mrs. William Krieger of Oscoda, Mich., and Mrs. Lyle Voge of Buffalo, Minn., in addition to nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Joseph Rogstad of Sturgis, Sask., Edward of Somerset, Ky., (and) Martin, Boise, Idaho.
