(May 21, 2009) -- ELLIOTT, Doris Marie (nee Shewan) - Of Palmerston, passed away peacefully at Royal Terrace Nursing Home, Palmerston on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 in her 87th year. Wife of the late, Harold Fair Elliott (1994). Dear mother of [...]. Loving Grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by one nephew [...] as well as many friends. Predeceased by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth (Fischer) Shewan; sister, Lyla Shoemaker; brother, Gordon in infancy; and brother-in-law, Carl Shoemaker. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 22, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home , Palmerston. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday May 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment Palmerston Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston United Church, the Royal Terrace Residents Council or the Palmerston Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
