Frederick William Weiser (b. June 10, 1875 - Died Sept. 3, 1950), son of William Wieser (Weiser) and Delbertha Hermal, was born on the farm on the 12th Con. of Normanby Township. He went to the United States and worked on the railroad (Superior-Wisconsin) for a couple of years. He then came back and lived on the 2nd Concession before moving to Lot W1/2 42, Con. 2 in a log house (1905-1906). He settled there one year or more before marrying Mary Elizabeth Christina Hertzberger (B. Feb. 14, 1886 - D. July 21, 1946) on Jan. 23, 1907 in the Lutheran Manse, Mount Forest, Ont.
Fred built the stone house which is still there, before he was married. He was a stone mason by trade and operated a lime kiln. He and his brother William built many foundations and houses including the United Church foundation at Conn and Milford Bilton's barn foundation on the 14th of Egremont Township.
Fred lived in the log house and had to hurry at night to get his chores done as he was always called upon to fiddle at dances and house parties. Fred Jr. played a Jews Harp and harmonica.
The family of Fred and Mary Weiser went to school at U.S.S. #3, (Nenagh), Normanby Township. They went to Sunday School at Melville Presbyterian Church on the base line and they were christened at their grandmother Hertzberger's by the Rev. H. Bruer or Rev. F. Malinsky from St. James Lutheran Church, Lauderbach, Normanby Township.
