Notes |
- From the research of Earl Hastings
William Hastings was educated at Indian Head and Sintaluta he worked on his father’s farms at Sintaluta and Fairy Hill, Saskatchewan. For a number of years he operated a trucking business in the Regina district – from 1935 to 1940. He served in the Canadian Army (Royal Canadian Ordinance Corps) from 5 September 1939 to 11 January 1940. He was medically discharged due to a congenital cardiac condition which plagued him most of his life and which no doubt contributed to his early demise. In 1944 he moved to Port Alberni, British Columbia and was employed in the lumbering industry. William Hastings is interred at Port Alberni, British Columbia.
