In 1935 he was Sub-Warden at St. Chad’s College, Regina, Saskatchewan. From 1936 to 1938 he was rector at All Saints, Pense, Saskatchewan. Elected Bishop by the synod of Diocese of Kootenay, March 10, 1948 and consecrated the third Bishop of Kootenay, April 23, 1948, Canada’s youngest Anglican Bishop.
The Nelson Daily News commented editorially on his passing:
“His Lordship had an indefatigable missionary zeal and was known generally for the number of confirmations he conducted and for his ability as a public speaker.
The fact he was Canada’s youngest Anglican bishop and his challenging oratory placed him in high demand in and out of his diocese.
The young family of this devoted churchman will share the sympathies of hundreds who had come to know him in his services across the breadth of Canada."
Frederick Patrick Clark is interred in the Anglican Plot, Nelson Memorial Park, Nelson, British Columbia.
