Notes |
- He moved to Wisconsin in the 1850s. His brother Philo came at the same time, but then moved to Watertown, South Dakota. Hack lived first in the town of Albion (the town no longer exists by that name), Trempeleau Co., Wisconsin, west of Eleva. The farm was about two miles west of Eleva on Highway 10. His sons John Hammond, Philo F., and Ed settled around Eleva. His grandson, Lee (born about 1889), lived close to Hack's farm.
Another record states that he died in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada!
