      ZURBRIGG, Peter R. This pioneer of Perth Co. was b. in Switzerland in 1843, and came to N. Easthorpe with his parents when only four years old, and was there raised. He m. Angelina Wenzel, and in 1878 moved to Howick, where he purchased a farm and raised his family, the members of which have always enjoyed the respect of the community.

      David Zurbrigg, the photographer of Palmerston, is a son of Peter R. Zurbrigg. He was b. in 1870, and learned the photography business in Listowel. In 1899 he came to Palmerston and purchased the good-will and stock of John M. George, and has since been the photographer of Palmerston. His success in this line is attributed to the artistic work that he turns out, as well as his attention to business and uniform politness to all classes.
