    • From the Carlaw Genealogy by Nora Carlaw:

      Shower for Louisa Carlaw

On Monday evening about 75 of the friends and neighbours of Mrs. Carlaw, (nee Louisa Atkinson) met at her fathers home to bid her farewell before her departure to her new home at Elora. After a miscellaneous shower of presents and the satisfying of the inner man, the rest of the evening was spent in games and other amusements. We wish Houise much happiness in her new home.
