Jacob Schuh, "one of the original settlers of York County, Pennsylvania, came from Holland with his wife and family in the year 1720. After spending several months in Germantown he went to Lancaster County where he resided for several years, thence moved to York County, near York, the county town. Here he settled in 1729. To whom he was married and what number of children he had could not be ascertained. The names of some of the children were Joseph, Philip, Henry, and Anna. No trace of the last three named nor their descendants can be given."
