Edward Werner of Ayton Dies
AYTON - A well known citizen, Edward Werner died at his home at Ayton early Monday after a lengthy illness.
He was born 68 years ago on the 8th concession of Normany, a son of the late Henry Werner, his wife Agnes Ploethner and lived in the district his entire life. Over 40 years ago he was married to the former Laura Seip, also of Normanby. They farmed on the land across the road from his birthplace and where his death occured.
Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mildred, Mrs. H.M. Milton McIntosh of Harriston, two grandchildren, one brother Eldon Werner on the home farm, Normany, three sisters Alvina, Mrs. Christian Gebherdt Pincher Creek, Alt., Cora, Mrs. Edward Fisher, Hanover and Emma, Mrs. John Seip, Ayton.
Two sisters, two brothers predeceased.
The late Mr. Werner was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Normanby.
