Homestead Application - William Ploethner

One is for an application for a Entry for a Homestead of S.E. QUARTER OF Section #18, in township 14, Rage 9 W, of the 3rd Meridian. The other application is for the south west quarter of section 17. This appears to have been done at Willow Bunch, which is some distance from the homestead site. Also note that his address was given as Rush Lake and his previous occupation was farmer.

Another scan is William Ploethner's application for a Homestead Patent for the southwest quarter of Section 17. It shows his age as 23 as well as his homestead entry, when he built his residence and when he actually commenced residency. Note that it also shows the dates he lived there, how much land he broke, that he had a horse in 1914 and 1915 and the size and value of his house, his stable and his granary. It looks like the patent was approved by Ottawa March 24th, 1916.
