It reads: "bachelor" Jakob Johansson, age 23, married "maiden" (never married) Kari Andersdotter, age 24, on September 8, 1854 in the Bakke church, Eiker parish, Buskerud county. Jakob's residence at the time of marriage was on the farm Solum, in Sigdal parish and his father was Johan Kristensson. Kari`s birth place was on the farm Sønju (Sønjueie), Eiker parish, and her father was Anders Rasmusson.
