Johannes Böcher, his wife Anna Catharina Dörr and their two young sons, Wilhelm and Conrad left Bleidenrod, Hesse Darmstadt, Germany in 1854 and departed from the port of Bremen for America. They arrived in New York on July 1, 1854 and from there were heading to Canada. Elise Horst, age 27, accompanied the family.
Peter Dörr, age 21, of Bleidenrod was also aboard the ship.
