Marriage record of Karoline Toresdotter and Knut Pettersson
Entry #34 states that Karoline Toresdotter was married on November 2, 1877 in Heggen church, Modum parish, Buskerud County,to Knut Pettersson. This was the first marriage for both of them. Knut`s occupation and residence at the time of marriage was a "forpaktar" (tenant or person who manages a farm for its owner) on the Bjørndalen farm. Knut`s birthplace was on Båsheim in Sigdal parish and his birth year was 1847. Karoline`s birth place was on Holo in Modum parish and her birth year was 1850. Knut`s father`s name was Petter Gulbrandsson Båsheim. Karoline`s father`s name was "gardmann" (farmer) Tore Olson. The bestmen (sponsors) were Lars Gunnarsson Bjørndalen and Nils Larsson Bjørndalen. The dates of public announcement for their wedding were on September 23 & 30 and October 7, 1877.
