OBITUARY
SAMUEL THOMAS HASTINGS
Samuel Thomas Hastings, in his 88th year, who lived in the Meadow Lake district since 1935, passed away in North Battleford on January 23rd. He was brought home for burial in the family plot in the Carlson Cemetery beside his wife, who preceded him in '36.
The deceased is survived by three children, Charlie at Winnipeg, Lillian (Mrs. E. Mick) of Meadow Lake, and Thomas, also of Meadow Lake; also five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral was held in the United Church with Rev. B. Ball in charge and Mrs. H. L. Cathrea at the organ. Mr. Titley was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
The pallbearers were John Larocque, Bill Ward, Dan Trask, Armand Salecon, Joe Lanoue and Wilf Garinger.
The deceased had farmed near Dinsmore from 1918 to 1935.
