Letter dated October 5, 1904
Translation provided by G. B. on Jan 16, 2006. I am attributing it to Adam and/or his wife Lou because 1. it came from the collection of Lulu Gaiser and was found in the family bible of Georg Adam Gaiser and 2. Adam was the only child of Georg Adam Gaiser that I am aware moved to Buffalo.
Buffalo, 5th October 1904
Dear compatriot ! ( a person, who comes from the same part of the country. Here it is Schwaben, Germany)
Because it is now 25 years ago that our association was created, the association decided that it is to be celebrated with a big meal, a lot of beer and wine, with long speeches and Swabian lectures.
The day when the large celebration shall take place, 17th October 1904, in the evening at 8.30 in Miller’s Harmonia Hall at the Genesee Street.
Therefore you are kindly invited to come to the celebration with your wife.
The fine eating and drinking will all be paid by the association, so that nobody needs to pay anything.
But nobody can enter, but any member and his wife (or another woman).
On behalf of the Committee, which provides for everything.
