GENERATION THREE: The children of Kristoffer Kjetilsson Bjørndalen were mostly born on Bjørndalen farm but one was born on Kvisle farm. Our direct ancestor in generation three is a daughter of the above named Kari Kristoffersdotter Bjørndalen. She was born in Sigdal parish in 1793 and died at Holo østre, Modum parish in 1860. She is buried at Nykirke church graveyard, Modum parish.

Kari married Ole Toreson Hallerdalen. Ola Toreson moved his family from the Hallerdalen farm sometime between the births of his children - Ingeborg: born in 1826 on Hallerdalen and Lars: born 1830 on Tingelstad. He and his wife Kari lived out the rest of their lives on the Tingelstad farm shown below.
