GENERATION FOUR: Bertil Olson Skretteberg, son of Kari Kristoffersdotter Bjørndalen and Ole Toreson Hallerdalen was born at Hallerdalen, Korsbøen farm, parish of Modum in 1823. He married Maren Turina Vilhelmsdotter at Heggen Church, in the parish of Modum in 1852. Their eldest son, Ole Bertilson, died at Persbråten (Skretteberg), parish of Modum in 1886. Using www.1881.no, a satellite view of Skretteberg farm is shown below:

While this map depicts the location as being within Sigdal parish, church records had placed the location as being within Modum parish. Further investigation may reveal a change in parish boundaries over time.
